Verification Documents - A Visual Guide

When you signup for a Paxum ewallet account you will be asked to provide Verification documents to prove your identity. This is all in keeping with our KYC (Know Your Customer) rules and regulations and EVERY client must be compliant, both business and personal.

Those clients who are unsure of the type of images required by Paxum for documentation can now visually review examples to determine the right format accepted.

Simply access the Identity Confirmation or Street Address Confirmation pages in your Paxum Account Control Panel (My Account >>> Profile Settings) and click the 'Click For Examples' link shown there.

A Note About Transaction Approval Codes

Transaction Approval Codes is an optional security measure available for all Paxum clients, whether business or personal.

When using Transaction Approval Codes you need to be sure that you input the information EXACTLY how it is displayed in your Transaction Approval Codes PDF file, or they won't work.

Transaction Approval Codes are
CASE-SENSITIVE!

Refresh Your Transaction Approval Codes

Just as it is always a good idea to regularly update your account password(s), it is also beneficial to update your Transaction Approval Codes within your Paxum Account Control Panel.

On a regular basis we recommend you visit the Security section of your account and request new Transaction Approval Codes be issued for your account. It's easy, it's fast, and it helps maintain your own account security.

Paxum Request Money Tool

Sometimes it's handy to be able to send a payment request without having to go to the trouble of setting up Pay Now buttons.

Paxum offers this function providing you with an easy method to send online payment requests through a very simple form.

To send a payment request through Paxum you must first login to your account and click the 'Request Money' menu button. This will take you to an easy-to-complete form where you specify the email address of the person you wish to send you money and the amount. You also have the option to add a personal note to your money request.

Once you hit submit, the request will be sent via email to the address you specified. If that person already has a Paxum account they will be prompted to login to their account and visit the Request Money section to allow or decline the request. If that person does NOT have a Paxum account then they will be prompted to signup so that they are able to respond to your request.

At any time you can view pending Money Requests that you have sent, or that have been sent to you, by visiting the Request Money section inside your Paxum ewallet Account Control Panel.

Paxum Security: Change Your Password Regularly

Your Paxum account has a number of security features available such as Login Protection and Access by IP.

Even with these extra security measures in place, it is still wise to change your password regularly.

You can easily change your Paxum account password any time you login to your account. In the top right hand corner of your account you will see the following options: Index |  My Profile | Logout. You need to click My Profile to be able to change your account password.

Check the box for 'Change Password' and the change password options will appear asking you to insert your current password and specify your new password. Once you have completed this step click 'Save' at the bottom of the page and your new password will now be functional.

In this section you may also change your security question if you desire.

We recommend you change your password regularly to help ensure the highest level of security protection for your Paxum account.

Paxum Tutorial: Creating Buy/Pay Now Buttons

All Paxum account holders have the option to set up Buy/Pay Now buttons, whether you have a business or personal account.

Buy/Pay Now buttons are VERY EASY to setup with the straightforward form found within your Paxum Account Control Panel.

Sell goods and services online and be paid instantly through this versatile Paxum feature!

Let's begin!

Paxum Tutorial: Creating Buy/Pay Now Buttons

1. Login to your Paxum Account Control Panel
2. Go to Merchant Services >>> My Saved Buttons
3. Click 'Add New Buttons' and the form will load.
4. Fill out the form:
5. 'Button Type' - Select Buy Now for regular buttons or Subscriptions if you would like to set up a recurring subscription/payment button.
6. 'Email Address to receive payments' - From the dropdown menu, select the appropriate email address where you wish to receive payment.
7. 'Item ID' - This field is optional and provided for easier management of your inventory with your own system.
8. 'Item Name' - This is how your customers will see your Item listed when they click your Buy/Pay Now button. You may use up to 150 characters.
9. 'Price/Billing Amount' - The cost of your item.
10. 'Shipping' - Add any applicable Shipping fees here. (only displays for Buy Now option)
11. 'Tax' - If you have to add taxes to your Item insert the tax percentage (%) here. (only displays for Buy Now option)
12. 'Billing Frequency' - Select from the dropdown how often you wish to recur the payment. (only displays for Subscription option)
13. 'Continue Billing until' - There are three options here; 1) number of transfers (ie specify # transfers and then stop billing); 2) specific date; 3) user cancelled subscription. Select the appropriate one for the subscription you are selling (only displays for Subscription option)
14. 'Button Text and Appearance' - Here you can choose to use the Predefined Button we provide (Buy Now/Pay Now/Subscribe), or your own button image. Should you select your own button image then you must be able to provide a hyperlink to the URL of the button image you wish to use.
15. 'Button Custom Fields' - Here you can add additional fields to your button. Options include Text, Email, Number, Date and Time.
16. 'Button Advanced Features' - A series of Yes/No options for Quantity, Special Instructions and Shipping.
17. 'Take Customers to this URL when they Cancel their checkout' - Sometimes customers cancel just as they're about to pay. Take control of where your customers will be taken when they do by specifying a URL in this space.
18. 'Take Customers to this URL when they Finish their checkout' - Redirect your customers to the URL of your choice. This is the perfect place to display any other goods/services you may have on offer; special discounts; etc.
19. 'Advanced Variables' - Add variables to your button code such as delivering the payment information directly to your back end servers through our handy IPN (instant payment notification), and more. Feel free to customize your button.
20. That's it! You're done! Now Click 'Create Button'.
21. You will now be taken back to the Merchant Services >>> My Saved Buttons section of your Paxum Account Control Panel. You can see your freshly added button listed in the menu. You can choose to 'View Code', 'Edit', or 'Delete'.
22. Clicking 'View Code' will take you to a page where you can easily copy the HTML code for the Paxum Pay Now Button you have just created. 'Edit' allows you to make additional changes. 'Delete' removes the button from your list.

That's it! You're all set!

You can also create Buy/Pay Now buttons through dynamic HTML. You will find more information under the Developers section of the Paxum site.

The Paxum Message Center is a very easy way to communicate with the Paxum Support Team. Should you need assistance with your Paxum ewallet account for any reason, Paxum Support are there to help you; 24 hours a day, 7 days a week!

We recently updated the Message Center to allow customers to attach documents or images to their Message Center tickets. This has been implemented to ensure no documents go astray during an inquiry, as well as beefing up the security and privacy for any shared documentation.

E-Commerce: Custom Field Added To Pay Now Buttons

If you use the Paxum Pay Now buttons then you'll be happy to learn we have added a new Custom Field.

Now, if you sell goods online that requires you request a mailing address you can! Phone number, email, mailing address, etc. This information can now be requested when you add Paxum Pay Now buttons to your site.

Add Funds To Your Paxum Account: Wire

Paxum accepts funding to your account from a variety of methods. Today we're taking a closer look at the Wire payment option.

Wires can only be sent and received from the name listed on your Paxum account. We do not process 3rd party payments. We have a solid P2P option in place to facilitate 3rd party loads.

Wires generally take 3-5 business days to arrive, and the fee for the service is $50 USD. There is no minimum or maximum cap placed on the amount you wish to wire, giving you the flexibility you deserve.

You can find Wire information by completing the Add Funds >>> Wire Transfer section inside your Paxum ewallet account!
